Adobe After Effects 6.5 adds new preferences to set the default behavior and quality of layers and adds new render settings to control the type of layers that render. A new layer type called guide layers helps you position or adjust the appearance of your other layers but doesn't render. After Effects also adds more features to help you work more seamlessly between After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Encore DVD.
