Importing Adobe Premiere Pro projects (6.5 Windows only)


    When you import an Adobe Premiere Pro project, After Effects imports it into the Project window as both a new composition containing each Adobe Premiere clip as a layer, and as a folder containing each clip as an individual footage item. (See "Importing Adobe Premiere projects" on page 67.) I

    After Effects 6.5 lets you import a selected sequence or all sequences from an Adobe Premiere Pro project. You can also choose to import the project with or without audio.

    Tip iconTo add a single track item from an Adobe Premiere Pro project, just copy the desired item in Adobe Premiere Pro and in After Effects, choose Edit > Paste in the Composition window. (See "Adding Adobe Premiere Pro clips as layers (6.5 Windows only)" on page 137.)

To import an Adobe Premiere Pro project:

  1. Choose File > Import.
  2. Select a Premiere Pro project to import and click OK.
  3. Do any of the following:
    • To import only one sequence, choose a sequence from the menu.
    • To import audio, select Import Audio.
