Brightening or darkening the user interface (6.5)
After Effects 6.5 lets you brighten or darken the application's graphical user interface. Changing the brightness preference affects palettes, windows, and dialog boxes, but doesn't affect scroll bars, title bars, and pop-up menus that don't reside within a palette. In addition, the brightness preference doesn't affect the application background on Windows.
To brighten or darken the user interface: - Choose Edit > Preferences > User Interface Colors (Windows) or After Effects > Preferences > User Interface Colors (Mac OS).
- Drag the User Interface Brightness slider to the left or right. Click Default to restore the default brightness level.
- Select any of the following:
- Affects Pasteboard Color to apply the current brightness settings to the pasteboard of Composition, Layer, and Footage windows.
- Affects Label Colors to apply the current brightness settings to all items that are colored by the associated color label in the Timeline window.
