Viewing rendering progress while previewing (6.5)While you preview an animation in a Composition or Layer window, the Info palette displays the actual frame rate of the current preview, which may differ from the frame rate specified in the Composition settings. When the preview's actual frame rate is different from the Composition settings, the Info palette displays "(NOT real time)" after the reported frame rate; when the preview's frame rate matches the Composition settings, the frame rate is followed by "(realtime)". When this preference is enabled, the Info palette also displays the name of the item being rendered at a given frame and reports what After Effects is doing, such as retrieving a frame. In addition, the Project Flowchart View window highlights items being rendered at each frame during the preview.
