Saving animation presets (6.5)

Each animation preset you save is stored as a separate file on your hard drive. When you save animation presets in the Presets folder or the After Effects application folder, the presets are listed in the Effects & Presets palette. You can create subfolders within the default folder, and your subfolders appear in the Effects & Presets palette. From there you can apply your animation presets to layers in your composition.

Note: Favorites in After Effects 6.0 are animation presets in After Effects 6.5, and menu items have moved from the Effects menu to the Animation menu. Favorites created in After Effects 6.0 are available as animation presets in After Effects 6.5.
